Hi everyone,

Last Tuesday, I sent out an article disclosing my newest long term position.

As of today’s close the position is already up about 20%. Not bad for one weeks worth of gains… you can find the article where I outline my thesis here.

I am consistently researching and analyzing stocks to add to my long term tech portfolio. I run a very concentrated book, I like to keep my investment account to around eight holdings. Sometimes I drift a bit over or under, but for the most part I want to have enough concentration that one position has the potential to really move the needle.

Before we get into this article, I want to highlight and mention that my 2026 Market Outlook was published last weekend, I’ll link it here. In this article I discuss how I’m thinking about the market and indices heading into the new year, my top individual stock and trade ideas for 2026, the themes I’m focused on and the specific names within them including thematic baskets you can own or trade, macro and micro analysis, key index levels, crypto, sector and industry breakdowns, international stocks, and more. It’s a big piece, but I think it’s well worth the read. I put my all into this outlook to help you prepare for the upcoming year, and I hope you find it useful.

I am also planning to release a set of thematic primers in the coming weeks and months. A few on the agenda include:

  1. Robotics

  2. Solar

  3. Advanced Warfare-Defense

  4. Domestic-U.S. Chip Manufacturing

I’ve already released two of these primers, and both preceded major moves across their respective groups. The first focused on energy, and the second outlined the space. You can find them linked by clicking on “energy” and “space.” Both were widely read and helped many get positioned early, ahead of significant breakouts. Keep an eye out for the next one.

I’ve been spending a lot of time researching companies to add to my long term portfolio and in the remainder of this article I’m going to walk through the names I’m watching most closely right now + which company I am on the verge of selling. These are companies I think have a major competitive advantage, are not priced for complete perfection, and have good fundamentals. I am a strong believer in price is what you pay, value is what you get. I do not believe in “buying at any price and any valuation because I’m holding for the long term.” That’s how you get stuck holding something like Roku from 2021 or Cisco from 2000.

I want to preface this by saying this is not an exhaustive list of stocks I want to own. These are simply the tech stocks I believe are reasonably priced at current levels. There are plenty of other companies I would love to own long term, but many of them have become too expensive or have moved up too quickly. I’ll touch on this a bit at the end as well.

Let’s dive in.
