My Newest Long Term Investment
The potential AI energy behemoth.
The past week has presented some good opportunities.
If you all know me, I don’t want to chase something that has already gone up hundreds or thousands of percent. I also don’t want to buy something just because it was down, those are often value traps.
My goal is to find something with a real business, real revenue, massive partnerships, earnings, multiple ways to win, and a story that I felt the market wasn’t fully appreciating yet.
That’s usually where my favorite long term ideas come from, and I found one.
I don’t like to buy stocks where the entire thesis is realized and everyone loves it, I like looking for companies where where the market may be missing the big picture.
I’ve alerted subscribers to just three new long term investments so far this year in 2026.
INTC in the $30s (thesis + alert on the day of purchase here)
RDDT in the $130s (thesis + alert on the day of purchase here)
SOLS in the $70s (sold after buyout crushed the thesis)
I didn’t want to sell SOLS, but when I initiated the position, I didn’t anticipate the company buying a business larger than itself, taking on massive debt, and management showing they don’t care about shareholders.
The thesis changed, so I exited!
My motto in both trading and investing is simple. Big winners and small losers.
Intel and Reddit have been fantastic investments, and I think this next investment has a very good chance to be a big winner…
I also want to mention that over the past few weeks, I’ve been adamantly against the AI trade.
In numerous articles I discussed why I thought they were an avoid and why I wasn’t interested. All of my recent trades had been outside of the AI trade.
Until Tuesday.
On Tuesday, I published an article discussing why I thought the AI trade was buyable for the first time in a long time. Here’s a snippet:
If you wanted to take a few stabs on some AI infrastructure names around these levels, I think it’s reasonable for the first time in a few weeks…
These stocks are in a very interesting position right now.
Do I think buying SNDK at $1,600 is the same as buying at $750 just a few months ago? No I don’t.
Do I think buying SNDK here at $1,600 is lower risk than buying at $2,350 less than two weeks ago? Yes I do.
That’s really the big picture message, risk has been lowered enough to justify taking a position whereas in the past few weeks I’ve thought you were absolutely insane for buying something like SNDK MU etc. up where they were.
I also included my CBRS thesis and why I bought it at $175 on Tuesday.
Needless to say, it was time to buy the AI trade! We’ve seen big bounces across multiple AI stocks.
